Artisan bakery from the Midwest

Hand-crafted breads, cookies, and focaccia made with care.

To ensure the highest quality, orders are collected throughout the week, baked on weekends, and delivered on Mondays. We keep the process intentionally small so each loaf and cookie keeps the character and care that makes it special. As a one-person bakery with a full-time job, availability is limited and orders may occasionally need to be capped. If you confirm your order, you can feel confident that it will be prepared and delivered with attention from start to finish.

  • Hand-crafted in small batches
  • Premium local ingredients
  • Baked fresh

Our story

Built in the Midwest, shaped by technology, hospitality, and craft.

Alex and Aisha, founders of Rihla Bakery

Rihla began with two people in the Midwest who love technology but felt something important slipping away. Alex and Aisha were building careers in innovation, yet both believed deeply in slowing down, working with their hands, and creating spaces where people connect in real life.

Aisha grew up in northern India, where gathering and hospitality are woven into everyday life. She carried those traditions with her: the sense of community, the way people come together around something made with intention.

Together, they set out to build something tangible. Rihla Bakery is their answer: a place where time-honored techniques meet a genuine love of welcoming people in. Every cookie and every loaf of focaccia is made with care and a belief that small, handmade things can still bring people together.

Rooted in the heart of the Midwest, Rihla bakes once a week using quality ingredients and methods that respect the craft. They believe that good cookies, good bread, and good conversation should be accessible, and that the best things are often the ones made slowly and shared around a table.
